Description With increasing complexity all around us, leaders can improve their effectiveness through greater collaboration.  Complexity creates the need for more voices, improved communication, and trusting relationships that enable people to take risks, make mistakes, and learn from failure as well as success. Leaders need to improve their ability to surface and engage diverse perspectives, recognizing that engaging differences supports creativity and innovation. This 90-minute session will support you in building your ability to collaborate as well as support others in building their collaborative ability. We will engage you in a collaborative skills self-assessment and provide opportunity for you to discuss ways to strengthen areas needing improvement. We will share with you key aspects of Emotional Intelligence ((EQ) for collaboration and how leaders can create the conditions for improved collaboration in organizations.

Donna Robbins has worked in a wide variety of organizations including military, federal agencies, corporations, businesses and educational institutions.  Her work has focused on leadership development, facilitating organization change, and organization restructuring. Her experiences and study in the field of leadership have led her to an understanding that the best leaders know that their job is to help their employees to succeed, and that this is accomplished through compassion and caring, rather than command and control. Donna founded the Leadership Consortium in 2013 to provide training, consulting and coaching to leaders and prospective leaders at all levels of the organizations she works with.   She can be reached at her website: www.leadershipconsortium.biz.
