    Position Summary

    Under the supervision of the Training Manager, the E-Learning Developer performs routine and complex duties in the training development area.  Coordinates, develops, and designs web sites, applications and components for E-Learning programs. Using Adult Learning methodologies, utilize instructional design principles to ensure successful transfer of knowledge, skills and abilities.

    Reports to the Training Manager.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for all aspects of e-learning design and development, program design authoring and programming, multimedia creation, program testing and evaluation.
    2. Analyzes and evaluates needs assessment data to formulate learning objectives and content for e-learning solutions.
    3. Regular reporting to management using databases, creating high-level reporting systems, monitoring data entry procedures and improving the effectiveness of the database tools and services.
    4. Works with supervisors and managers to determine training needs and develops

    programs to meet those needs.

    1. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of the curriculum by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes and to ensure alignment with business objectives.
    2. Creates, edits images, graphics and verbal content for website use.
    3. Provides technical support with the classroom technology, distance technology, phones, Windows (laptops and desktops), iPads, and mobile devices.  Provides coordination in technology resolution with vendors.
    4. Assists in determining all coding requirements for site creation including forms and specialized scripts.
    5. Publishes information to intranet /internet server.
    6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    1. Must have strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
    2. Demonstrated skills in web content design, MS Office applications, spreadsheets and databases.
    3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
    4. Ability to handle multiple activities, projects, and priorities in a fast paced environment.
    5. Ability to maintain confidential information.
    6. Ability to function independently as well as part of a team.
    7. General knowledge of adult learning strategies.
    8. Designer must have demonstrated training experience and/or certifications in computer programs such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Adobe illustrator, and Paint Shop Pro as well as knowledge of Flash, JavaScript code and use web application programming, XHTML programming, and other web development languages and technologies.
    9. Must read, write and speak the English language at a level sufficient to efficiently perform the functions of the position.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

    Required:

    1. High School Diploma, GED certification or equivalent
    2. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and Instructional design or a related field of study and three (3) years’ experience in web design or Information Technology. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling seven (7) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

    Licensing Status

    1. Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation.
    2. Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.

    Working Conditions

    1. Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
    2. Some physical effort required; i.e.; moving tables & chairs, setting up training room equipment.
    3. Occasional travel between training locations potentially required.
    4. Sitting for extended periods of time.
    5. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
